Good to know

Our hotel is situated just outside the city centre of Maaseik, 300m away from the town square. The centre is at walking distance and the entire town can be explored by foot.

We have several walking and biking routes that we made ourselves but we also sell a variety of maps and routes at the reception. Should you not find what you are looking for, the tourist office is also at walking distance. 

We are located between the bicycle route junctions numbers 24 (town square) and 25, these routes pass our hotel so your trip can start right at our front door.

Maaseik is the ideal vacation whether you like cultur, nature, shopping or relaxing. We happily point you in the direction of different cultural attractions.

For both trained hikers and recreationals strollers we have plenty of possibilities. Just over the Dutch border there's a chance for you to walk with the wild 'Konik' horses that still live in freedom in this park. But also in the cities of Maaseik, Aldeneik, Thorn and Kessenich there's plenty to do. 

Also by bike there's enough challenges for you to discover. With a bike route network that reaches both Germany and the Netherlands, you will not be bored one bit.

If you prefer to enjoy a day trip, we can help you with that too! Rent a boat or hop on the 'Paep van Meinecom' for example. You get on in Ophoven and the boat drops you off in Thorn where you can enjoy your day. More info about this on: www.marec.be.
If you don't mind taking the car, the following cities are very near and great for shopping and relaxing: Thorn, Maastricht, Roermond, Maasmechelen Village, De Wissen, Dilsen-Stokkem.
